Abigail Duarte, M.S., joined ACTS in 2021 as a Clinical Fellow in the AAC-CF Mentorship program. She received her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from San Francisco State University. While at SF State, Abigail was a recipient of the AAC Grant and participated in the Project Building Bridges. She was a graduate student clinician for the Conversation Club, led by ACTS Senior Associate Sarah Leslie. She also completed a clinical externship at the Bridge School where she worked with individuals with complex communication needs. Abigail has volunteered for the Nika Project and is a co-contributer to the Praactical AAC: School Year of Core Vocabulary. Abigail is enthusiastic and passionate about AAC. Abigail currently provides AAC assessment and intervention to children and adults in the school setting.
